Deepsolv vs AdEspresso: Decide the Test Before the Tool
The best AdEspresso alternatives depend on the job: launching ads or choosing tests. Teams that can already run tests but cannot pick which to fund need a ranked test plan, like Deepsolv's.

How each looks

Which should you choose?
Choose Deepsolv if
- You have more test ideas than budget: we produce a ranked weekly test plan, so the order is set before money is spent.
- Your evidence is scattered: we combine ad-performance data, competitor activity, customer signals and past ad learnings in one place, so a test idea carries its evidence with it.
- Your creative team needs something to build from: we write execution-ready creative briefs from the ranked plan.
- You advertise on Meta: our platform is built for Meta advertising teams, such as consumer brands, performance marketing teams, creative teams and agencies.
- You want to see it on your own account: we start with a personalized demo with our founding team, not a self-serve sign-up.
Choose AdEspresso if
- You have already chosen your tests and spend up to $1,000 a month on ads
- You want a free 14-day trial before committing
- You need Facebook and Instagram campaign creation and split testing analysis in one tool

Introduction
Two testing guides from the same company ask for different amounts of evidence. AdEspresso's A/B testing guide asks for 100 conversions per ad variation, while its March 16, 2021 split-testing post accepts 10 to 20. A tool that launches tests cannot tell you which of those numbers your budget can afford.
A/B testing, which means comparing two versions of an ad that each get their own budget, makes that gap costly. Swapping one launcher for another changes how fast you build ads. It does not change how many tests your budget can read, or which one deserves the money first.
This page sets out what AdEspresso costs and covers as of October 2026, gives a budget ceiling you can fill in with your own cost per conversion, and shows how we rank tests by evidence and cost before anyone builds them, so the choice is made with your numbers in front of you.
Key takeaways
- If you can run tests but cannot choose them, we recommend Deepsolv: we turn ad-performance data, competitor activity, customer signals and past ad learnings into a ranked weekly test plan and creative briefs.
- AdEspresso is a campaign creation and split-testing tool for Facebook and Instagram. Plans start at $49 a month, with a $1,000 monthly ad spend limit on that plan, as of October 2026.
- Your budget sets how many ad variations you can read. In our model, with an assumed $40 cost per conversion and a $5,000 test budget, a 100-conversion bar funds 1 variation and a 20-conversion bar funds 6.
- Rank candidate tests by evidence first and cost second, then fund only those that fit your ceiling. The worksheet below does this.
What are the best AdEspresso alternatives for teams that can run tests but cannot choose them?
For a Meta advertising team that can launch tests but struggles to choose which ones, we recommend Deepsolv, because we rank the next tests and write the briefs from your own performance data and market signals.
AdEspresso alternatives come in two kinds. If you want a launcher or automation tool, see Deepsolv vs Madgicx or Deepsolv vs Birch. If you need to choose tests, Deepsolv is the pick.
What does AdEspresso cost and cover as of October 2026?
As of October 2026, AdEspresso costs $49 a month on Starter, $99 on Plus and from $259 on Enterprise, and it covers Facebook and Instagram campaign creation and split testing analysis. The details:
- Starter: $49 a month, with a $1,000 monthly ad spend limit.
- Plus: $99 a month, with unlimited ad spend and up to 15 team seats.
- Enterprise: from $259 a month.
- All plans: a free 14-day trial, split testing analysis, performance triggers and automatic optimization.
Those features cover building, running and analyzing Facebook and Instagram campaigns. Choosing which tests to run is the job we do, with a ranked weekly test plan and creative briefs.
Why does the same test need 5, 10, 50 or 100 conversions?
Each source sets its own bar, so the safe route is to compute your ceiling from your own cost per conversion. A conversion is the result you optimize for, such as a purchase. A cell is one ad variation that gets its own budget. These are the bars in circulation:
- Source
- AdEspresso A/B testing guide
- Conversions per cell
- 100 for valid results; at least 50 when one variation clearly leads
- Source
- AdEspresso split testing post (March 16, 2021)
- Conversions per cell
- 10 to 20 before declaring a winner (the post's example is a 5-image test)
- Source
- Our multivariate testing ads page
- Conversions per cell
- 5 purchases per cell for a directional read
How many cells can your budget fund?
The bars differ by up to 20 times. Rather than pick one on faith, work out what each costs you.
Formula (our model): cells you can fund = test budget ÷ (cost per conversion × conversions required per cell), rounded down.
Worked example (our model): the inputs are an assumed $40 cost per conversion and a $5,000 test budget.
| Conversions per cell | Cost per cell | Cells you can fund |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $4,000 | 1 (1.25) |
| 50 | $2,000 | 2 (2.5) |
| 20 | $800 | 6 (6.25) |
| 10 | $400 | 12 (12.5) |
| 5 | $200 | 25 |
At the 100-conversion bar your budget cannot fund even a two-way A/B test. A 4-variation test at that bar costs 4 × 100 × $40 = $16,000. That is 16 months of the $1,000 monthly ad spend limit on AdEspresso's Starter plan.
Our recommendation: choose the bar before launch, write it into the test brief, and treat any result under the bar as directional. Be careful with large grids, too. A 5-image, 5-headline, 5-audience setup is 125 ads, and our multivariate page puts it plainly: past four cells you are placing a bet, not running a test. Whatever the tool, the number of tests you can read comes from your budget, not from the tool's variation limit.
How do you rank which test to fund first?
Rank by evidence first and cost second, then fund only the tests that fit your ceiling. This worksheet is our recommendation for ranking tests by hand.
Test sheet (one row per candidate test):
| Test | Evidence (1 point each: customer signal, competitor ad, past test result) | Cells | Cost to read = cells × conversions × cost per conversion | Fits budget? | Fund / Wait / Skip |
|---|
Rules (our recommendation):
- Score the evidence. Give 1 point for each type that backs the test, so 0 to 3. A test with 0 points is a hunch, and it ranks last whatever its cost.
- Price the test. Multiply cells × your chosen conversion bar × cost per conversion. Pass if the result is at or under your budget for this round. Fail otherwise.
- Fund in rank order. Take the highest evidence score that passes, and break ties with the lower cost.
- After the test, label the result: Promote, Iterate, Continue, Invalidate or Stop, the labels from our guide to analyzing Facebook ads and choosing your next test.
Illustration (hypothetical numbers): the inputs are a $40 cost per conversion, a 20-conversion bar ($800 per cell) and a $2,500 round budget.
| Test | Evidence | Cells | Cost | Fits? | Fund / Wait / Skip |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| New opening frame, from a repeated customer comment and a competitor ad | 2 | 3 | $2,400 | Pass | Fund |
| Price offer in the headline | 1 | 2 | $1,600 | Pass, but ranks second; $100 remains this round | Wait |
| Five-way audience and image grid | 0 | 5 | $4,000 | Fail | Skip |
Funding the first test leaves $100, so the second waits for next round. The third has no evidence and does not fit.
Doing this by hand means collecting reviews, comments, competitor ads and past results every week. Deepsolv produces a ranked weekly test plan from ad-performance data, competitor activity, customer signals and past ad learnings, with execution-ready creative briefs.
Our verdict
Choose Deepsolv when your constraint is deciding what to test, not building the ads.
How we compared
We compared Deepsolv and AdEspresso on what each does, the evidence behind its recommendations, plans, channels and how you start, using AdEspresso's pricing page, homepage, A/B testing guide and split testing post, and Deepsolv's website, as of October 2026. The budget model uses an assumed $40 cost per conversion and a $5,000 test budget. We did not compare result quality or hands-on performance.
