Seven-day ad-set planning estimate

At or above the 50-event referenceThe plan projects 50 or more optimisation events in seven days for one ad set.

- 50-event reference spend over seven days
- $500
Assumptions
- Every concept has the same number of variants.
- Estimated optimisation events equal planned spend divided by the assumed CPA.
- Equal-allocation outputs divide planned spend and estimated events evenly across creatives. They are planning scenarios, not a promise of Meta delivery.
- The seven-day reference applies only to one relevant ad set and the selected optimisation event.
- The calculator does not estimate revenue, ROAS, statistical significance or the probability that a creative will win.

In brief
Enter your creative-test scope and budget to estimate planned spend and optimisation-event volume per creative. Meta’s guidance uses 50 optimisation events within seven days as an ad-set planning reference, not a per-creative rule or a prediction.
Worked example at the defaults
With creative concepts at 2, variants per concept at 2, test duration at 7 days, assumed cpa at $10, planned test spend at $560:
- Creative count
- 4
- Daily planned spend
- $80
- Estimated optimisation events
- 56
- Equal-allocation spend per creative
- $140
- Equal-allocation events per creative
- 14
- 50-event reference spend over seven days
- $500
- Seven-day ad-set planning estimate
- 56
Creative count equals concepts × variants per concept. Daily planned spend equals total planned spend ÷ test duration, while estimated optimisation events equal planned spend ÷ assumed CPA. The equal-allocation scenario divides both spend and estimated events by creative count. The seven-day ad-set planning estimate equals daily planned spend × 7 ÷ assumed CPA, and the reference spend equals assumed CPA × 50. Meta’s cited guidance makes the 50-event figure an ad-set reference over seven days, so it should not be read as a per-creative validity threshold.

Frequently asked
This calculator estimates the number of creatives, daily planned spend, total estimated optimisation events and an equal-allocation scenario per creative from the concepts, variants, duration, assumed CPA and planned spend you enter. The output is a planning estimate, not a delivery forecast.
No. Meta’s cited 50-event reference is for an ad set over seven days, not a requirement for each creative, campaign or account. A plan with several creatives can use the reference to assess ad-set volume, while still treating per-creative figures as allocation estimates.
No. A budget and CPA assumption can estimate planned event volume, but they cannot determine which concept will perform best. A creative winner requires a defined test question, a selected outcome to measure and the resulting account performance evidence.
Equal allocation is a transparent planning simplification that shows how much budget and estimated event volume each creative would receive if the test were evenly split. Actual Meta delivery can differ, so use the figure to judge test capacity rather than as a promise of distribution.
